Harri Kullas crashes in Birmingham and faces fitness battle for Wembley!

Proving just how unpredictable Arenacross can be, Round 7 of the 2024 series held at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on Saturday did certainly not run to plan for the FUS Marsh Geartec Racing team!

Going into the event, Harri Kullas was just one point off the Championship lead having scored a hat-trick of consecutive Traxxas Pro Main Event wins. At Birmingham though, Harri unfortunately crashed out of his second qualifying heat, suffering an injured shoulder. Unable to continue, he is now 12 points off top spot and has three weeks to recover before the final round of the ArenacrossUK series.

Harri Kullas was running up front in his second heat race until he crashed in a bowl turn and put himself out for the night.

Better news though for Elliott Banks-Browne who despite a painful recent leg injury displayed fantastic determination to not only compete but also score 6th in the Traxxas Pro Main Event. That result leaves him 9th in the Championship table.

Elliott banks-Browne rode through the pain barrier, grabbing a vital holeshot in the Main Event at Birmingham!

Finally after his recent Indian adventure, Jake Preston was back and bagging 5th and 7th places in his qualifying heats. Despite those finishes, it was not to be quite enough to earn a place in the Main Event.

Jake Preston looked faster after his Indian Supercross experience and narrowly missed the Main Event.

So it’s now onto the ArenacrossUK decider on the 24th February, lets hope the FUS team will enjoy slightly better fortune next time around!
