Running its spiritual Good Friday date (this year it’s 29th March), the Mike Brown Memorial event has been running since the early 1980s but incorporated the Huck Cup in 2017 to remember the much-missed Mark Hucklebridge. Last year, the Jude Morris Celebration Race was introduced for riders between the age of 13 – 17 on 125cc-250 cc (2T/4T) riders with £1,000 Prize Money split between the Top 3 riders in 125s and 250s.
Last year Conrad Mewse won the Huck Cup last year ahead of a star studded line up with a packed crowd watching one of the best entries for a one off MX race in the UK. Already signed up this year is 2022 champ Josh Gilbert, the always popular Todd Kellett and 2 stroke warrior Brad Anderson.
New for 2024 is the GF Open 2Stroke class in memory of George Frogley who sadly passed away last year. The Waldi 57 Cup for Evo machines already has riders like Greg Hanson, Dan Thornhill and Brad Anderson confirmed.
The full list of classes are:
– Huck Cup
– Jude Morris Celebration Trophy
– Waldi 57 Cup (EVO)
– Mike Brown Memorial Vets Over 50
– Mike Brown Memorial Under 50
– The GF Open 2Stroke (in memory of George Frogley)
– MX1 & MX2 Unlimited
